Ordering Information
Once you have made your decision to go with "My Handwritten Calligraphy" for your calligraphy needs we will have a few details
which we will need to get started.
When and How to Place Your Order
- In order to begin I will need to receive:
- A signed contract
- The font choice
- Address list
- The envelopes and or place cards or other materials
- A 50% deposit via check or Pay Pal
Address List
- I will need a complete list of the names and addresses of all your guests typed out exactly how you would like them to
appear on the outer envelope, inner envelope and or place card. Click here for an example of an invitation spreadsheet.
- If you have any questions on addressing etiquette I will be happy to assist you
Envelopes & Place Cards
- I will need 15% extra envelopes or place cards just in case I make a mistake or the ink smears
- All work will be done in black ink unless alternate is requested prior to service
- Dark envelopes as well as envelopes which are completely foil lined will incur an additional charge
- It is best to choose envelopes and or place cards which are not shiny or slippery to the touch, the ink is more likely to run.
- It is best to avoid envelopes and place cards which are textured or that have a fabric or cotton feel, the ink is likely to pool
or appear like a spider web
- If you have chosen stationary and you are unsure if it will work for calligraphy I will try it out for you
Shipping of Materials
- All materials should be sent to me via the United States Post Office, Priority Mail, Certified with a Return Receipt and
Insurance
- I will ship all completed work to you in the above manner
- Shipping costs are not included in the price and will be added on to your final balance
Timing
- Once I receive the materials and the deposit I will call and confirm receipt
- It will take one week to complete a set of 75 invitations
- It will take one week to complete a set of 100 place cards
- Once the work is completed, the remaining balance will be due
- Once payment is confirmed I will ship the completed work back to you
- I will keep a couple of envelopes and place cards just in case you need to add on a last minute invitation
- Please allow yourself enough time. It is suggested that invitations should be sent to guests six to eight weeks before the
event
Mistakes
